OUR MISSION is to nurture the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of every student by fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among our students, faculty, families, and parish. St. Mary’s School is a Catholic Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School founded in 1951 as an integral part of St. Mary’s Parish.

Our vibrant school community is comprised of our highly trained and educated faculty, hardworking students and their families, and the supportive parishioners of St. Mary’s Church. Our incredibly kind and robust community is truly what sets us apart from other schools in the area.

We are a small school, offering one class per grade, which allows teachers to truly know their individual students’ strengths and needs. We recognize parents as the primary educators for their children. We partner with families to form well-rounded, confident students, and encourage children to be their best selves.

Our curriculum follows the guidelines and academic standards provided by the Archdiocese of Washington Catholic Schools, with attention to the development of the whole child, including promoting a love of learning. We offer enrichment programs at every grade level, with additional teachers as needed to provide support as well as to teach Spanish, art, music, physical education, computer technology, and library skills. Students receive traditional instruction in core subjects, alongside standardized testing three times each year to drive instructional goals for continuous student growth.

St. Mary’s School provides students with a strong foundation of academic skills and knowledge, working to kindle a lifelong love of learning. Students are encouraged to cultivate a sense of personal responsibility and self-discipline. Positive self-esteem is fostered through their unique achievements and objectives while personalized instruction ensures that each child receives a challenging and engaging education.
